چکیده
A WORD GRAMMAR OF TURKISH WITH MORPHOPHONEMIC RULES Oztaner, Serdar Murat M.S., Department of Computer Engineering Supervisor: Assist. Prof. Dr. Cem Boz sahin January 1996, 128 pages This thesis is about the computational morphological analysis and generation of Turkish word forms. Turkish morphological description is encoded using the two-level morphological model. This description consists of a phonological component that contains the two-level morphophonemic rules, and a lexicon component which lists lexical items (indivisible words and a xes) and encodes the morphotactic constraints. In the scope of the study, a generic word grammar in a tabular form expressing the ordering relationships among morphemes is designed and morphophonemic processes along with solutions to exceptional cases are formulated.

Sentence Generation by Semantic concordance
Generation of English sentence is realized in the following three steps. First, the generation of kernel sentence by phrase structure rules; second, the application of transformational rules to the kernel sentence; and finally the completion of a sentence by the morphophonemic modifications. At the first stage of generating kernel sentence, the semantics of words are fully utilized. The method ...
متن کاملFrom Paninian Sandhi to Finite State Calculus
The most authoritative description of the morphophonemic rules that apply at word boundaries (external sandhi) in Sanskrit is by the great grammarian Pān. ini (fl. 5th c. B. C. E.). These rules are stated formally in Pān. ini’s grammar, the As. t .ādhyāyı̄ ‘group of eight chapters’. The present paper summarizes Pān. ini’s handling of sandhi, his notational conventions, and formal properties of h...

This paper presents machine learning solutions to a practical problem of Natural Language Generation (NLG), particularly the word formation in agglutinative languages like Tamil, in a supervised manner. The morphological generator is an important component of Natural Language Processing in Artificial Intelligence. It generates word forms given a root and affixes. The morphophonemic changes like...
